A Spectacular 10-piece ‘Boulle’ Desk Set

A truly remarkable and rare late 19th century ‘Boulle-work’ Gentlemans ten-piece DESK SET in wonderful condition. All ten items are of the finest quality, with brass scrollwork inlaid into tortoiseshell and rosewood. The set comprises: 8-day CLOCK in full working order; large FOLDER for letters etc; a pretty mahogany-backed PHOTO-FRAME; a second PHOTO-FRAME (or calendar); pair of CANDLESTICKS; charming MATCHBOX HOLDER; circular PIN or ASHTRAY; smaller FOLDER for letters; diary etc. and the large Boulle-work INKSTAND with 2 inkwells; pen tray and central hinged box (for stamps?).
